Bibles to Schools and Meeting PNG's Top Rugby Team

What an incredible day, we started the day as usual having personal devotions, breakfast and then group devotions. Cameron lead the devotions and spoke of how God can and wants to use us no matter our background.  We then took Bro Chromey to the airport and drove to the first of three scheduled schools. The drive there was spectacular, driving up the mountain roads.

After arriving we found out that many of the kids had left for home for a long weekend (was a boarding school). So we went to the second school.  This one would have been the most prestigious secondary school in the country. They told us to come back at 1pm.  So we went had lunch and then came back, because school here ends at 2:30pm Bro. Brooks decided to split up the group.   Bro. Darling, Cam and Josiah along with a team of local church people went to the school, where Josiah conducted the program, he had Bro. Robin preach and then they handed out the Bibles. That school would have been 6-700 students, I am thankful to have a veteran on the trip who is able to conduct a distribution session the way Bro. Brooks wants it done.

The school we were doing also had about 650 students. Bro Brooks opened it up, we Canadians introduced ourselves in Pigeon and sang a song. Bro. Brooks preached and the kids were very engaged, after preaching we handed out Bibles. Everyone was very appreciative, the school sang to us - sweet spirit had a great time.

After that we went back to the mission house for a while and then for supper.

Bro. Brooks had previously met the captain of the Hunters (currently #1 rugby team in their league, they are part of the national team) he told him what he was doing and was invited to give a Bible to all of the team.  Bro. Brooks met with the coach of the team and then we got to go join them as Bro. Brooks gave the gospel and then we handed each team player and coach a Bible and got to mingle and talk to them.   I was able to talk to the assistent coach and talk to him about the condition of soul. I think he was ready to get saved, please pray for Nigel.  The boys got to hang out with them for a while, get pictures with them etc.

It truly has been a great day, God is has been blessing.

We are also praying for you back at home.     We all want to thank you for helping us to be a part of this project. It has been amazing.    Please continue to pray for us, there is so much to do, but things are not very effecient here.    Also pray for each of our guys that God would do a great work on their hearts and that this trip would only be the beginning of great things that God will do in and through them.

Thank-you for your prayers

Bro. Wiebe
