Shipping Bibles and Rugby Inroads

Just a quick update of today.  We were up early this morning doing personal devotions and getting ready, then we had breakfast and Josiah lead a group devotional.   From there we went out to pay for shipping some Bibles by boat to another island and then to Capital Baptist church and waited on the Bibles.  As Bro. Brooks would say PNG is hurry up and wait.  After that we went to a school near the church and they got the students together and Bro Brooks opened it, we introduced ourselves and Ob and Calen gave a testimony and then we sang. Pastor Matt preached and then  we handed out Bibles. We did not have another school lined up so we spent a little more time talking to the kids, getting pictures etc.

After that we went to town to deal with shipping issues, while there Bro Darling and I went to a place where they were selling beetlenut/cigarette etc under some trees and handed out tracts and witnessed and Bro Darling street preached there. The people were receptive.

After running around finding supplies etc we finally made it to the right dock where we palletized the Bibles and brought them to the place where they loaded them into the boats.

We came back to the mission house for an hour nap and then off to Bro Tacko's church for an evening service. We sang there and a blind missionary (35yrs in Philippines) preached. Very compelling message on surrending to missions. After some fellowship we went to where they kept the Bibles and helped take them out of the wrapping and stamp them with the church stamp.

God has definitely been working on this trip.  But if there is somthing to pray about it is that we would be able to get into the places that God wants us to to get into. Because it is a more relaxed country you have to learn to be flexible. There is opposition from the devil that can only be overcome by prayer.

Bro Brooks met a famous Rugby player(rugby is by far the most popular sport) he is the captain of the Hunters (equivalent to the captain of the Montreal Canadians or Vancouver Canucks) and has been invited to give a Bible to the whole team and coaches. Bro Brooks is supposed to meet with one of the coaches tomorrow at 4. Pray that he will win there favor and have an opportunity to preach the gospel to the team.

Pray that the Bibles get to the other island by boat on time so that we have something to hand out when we get there.

Pray that schools will work with our time schedule so that we can be effective with our time.

Pray that our guys stay safe and healthy.

We really are having a great time, wish you could be here.

We are praying that God does some great things through the camp meeting this year.

God bless
Bro. Wiebe
