Expedition Bible Delivery

Today was a special day as we had the privilege of going to some more remote islands by dinghies. We were supposed to meet them there at 7am but as usual hurry up and wait :) we had rented 2 dinghies and only one was there, but by 8:45am we were on the water heading to our first school.   As usual it rained for part of the trip there but not too hard.  They guy we were traveling with said that because we are in the rainy season the water was much calmer.   Yet there were still waves probably 5 ft high.  These boats are like an open fiberglass boat about 18ft long.

We got to the first island at about 10:30am, we brought the Bibles up to the meeting place and talked to the nun that was running the school.  It was a very Catholic school probably 100 female students.  We introduced ourselves, sang  and Bro Hunter preached a salvation message.   These kids/teachers/workers got salvation by grace alone, no works from Bro Brooks, pastor Hunter and then pastor Nielish.   They were a very receptive group, they sang to us and also had words of appreciate and a special clap for us.   They then invited us to stay for coffee and a bunch of baked pastries.   We then traveled to the next school which was about 30min away from there. They gathered the students in the assembly were we presented as usual. Ben and Calen shared their testimony of how they got saved, followed by a salvation message by pastor Nielish.  There were about 350 students at that school.  We then traveled back and got back to the dock at about 4:30pm.  Everyone was pretty tired and some of us got too much salt spray or sun.  Thankfully Bro Darling was feeling better today and was able to join us and had a good appetite again.

Hope you are all doing well,

We love and miss you guys

Bro Wiebe
