Today started earlier, we had group devotions at 5:45am this morning and left for the first school. We arrived there at about 8am. The school had about 1200 students, after singing Cameron gave his testimony and Joe preached. Joe did a great job, we handed out the Bibles, spent a little time there, many of the students wanted us to sign their Bibles.
We then went to the next school, it was a vocational school, their was about 160 students, Brown Brooks opened up and then we sang and Ben gave his testimony, I then preached and then we had the local church members hand out the Bibles. We stuck around for a little while and then went back to Mapang.
We then went for lunch and then to Bro Homes church to stamp Bibles, after about 50 boxes of Bibles we went back to Mapang for a rest.
Church started at 6, Bro Homes did a Canadian theme service. He had a video that he showed of him at Niagara Falls. He had us come sing "there is a fountain" then "O Canada" they had a women's quartet and a men's quintet, then a congressional song in Pigeon that almost lifted the roof off the church. I then had the opportunity to preach, after I preached Pastor Homes kinda went over it again in Pigeon. Mrs Homes is a really sweet lady she bought some gifts for the boys as gifts they can give to their moms/sister. The church also presented us with some PNG touqes and Bilums(like a knitted purse that men and women wear)
We really had and great time with the folks there they are so precious.
Today we were stopped by the police and the safety for our vehicle that we rented had expired so they gave us a fine. After church tonight we got new rental vehicles that we will be using tomorrow.
We are planning on leaving at 4:30am. The schools are about 5 hours away.
We have been very blessed to have a part in this program. God has given us the opportunity of lifetime.
God bless, thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray for the Bibles that are still stuck on the port. The man that Bro Brooks is counting on just found out that his mom had passed away on Monday which could create more problems for the release of the Bibles.
Thanks
Bro Wiebe
